thirteen things to focus on in 2005: giving to others without any expectation of getting back; reading my stories and poems in public without hesitation; long, restorative walks in the forest and meditative solitude integrated into my weekly schedule; an artist's date with myself at least three times a month; daily positive affirmations; making every meal an opportunity to celebrate cuisine rather than just eating; making a resolution to travel to at least one place that i've been desiring to go to for my whole life (hawaii, bali, greece, china, etc.), swimming regularly, seeing the people i adore more frequently, making the time to read things i've put off; beginning my "thank you" project to mentors who have guided me in my life; listening to what my heart says and having the bravery to follow it's promptings; more classical music; my remembered dreams.
